The Augmented Aristocracy
In the far future, a small but powerful group of humans have chosen to enhance their bodies with cybernetic modifications, granting them superhuman abilities and near immortality. However, these modifications have also made them outcasts in a society that is still trapped in a ‘Victorian era’ equivalency of technology. The rest of society views the augmented with fear and distrust, seeing them as a threat to the natural order. Despite their higher social status and wealth, the “Augmented Aristocracy” as they are coined are often shunned and discriminated against, forcing them to live in seclusion from the rest of society. Despite this, the “AA” continue to use their advanced technology to exert control and influence over the rest of society, leading to a complex and volatile relationship between the two groups.
